According to him, The Introduction to Migration to the Americas is a compendium of quotes taken from the reports of his compañeros that work in the Jesuit Refugee Service (SJR in Spanish) or in the Jesuit Migration Services (SJM in Spanish) of Latin America and the Caribbean. It also contain extracts from documents written by specialists and were recommended to Br. Rafael by his colleagues.

The magnitude of this phenomenon requires urgent action, and Franciscans International (FI) has made of the struggle against trafficking one of its main programmes. FI intends to give a strong response to this problem by means of formation, education and by raising awareness.
